Job Description

Salary: $140,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or related field, or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience with PLC-controlled automation, including Ladder Logic and structured programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys) along with diagnosis of issues in production settings.
• At least 2 years of experience working with robotics cells, control systems, electrical theory, controls components, and automated equipment.
• Leadership experience in directing, training, and coaching automation engineers.
• Strong proficiency in CMMS usage, troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance with various stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, policy interpretation abilities, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
• Adaptability to evolving technologies and capacity to build scalable automation solutions.

• Act as the technical authority on-site for automation control systems and oversee the sites automation engineering initiatives.
• Establish program objectives, assign tasks, and mentor Automation Engineers and Apprentices to meet client needs and adhere to safety and technical standards.
• Design, develop, implement, and optimize control systems and software; maintain and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Oversee all automation documentation and manage change processes for the site.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and support teams to enhance material handling systems and execute projects.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support and escalation assistance, including remote support, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination.
• Monitor system performance, initiate continuous improvement projects, and communicate technical challenges, timelines, and workarounds to stakeholders.
