Food Runner

Restaurant: Bixi Beer
Pay: $12.96 per hour plus generous portion of tip pool
Schedule: Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Bixi Beer is a full-service restaurant and brewery committed to serving delicious food and providing warm, attentive hospitality. We are looking for an energetic and dependable Food Runner to join our team and help ensure every dish reaches the guest quickly, accurately, and beautifully presented.

Job Summary

The Food Runner supports the front-of-house team by delivering food from the kitchen to the dining room, maintaining communication between kitchen and service staff, and helping create an efficient and enjoyable guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct table promptly and accurately
• Confirm presentation, portion, temperature, and special requests before serving
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff regarding order details or guest needs
• Assist with clearing, resetting, and maintaining dining tables
• Provide friendly, professional service to guests
• Help keep service stations, dining areas, and kitchen pass areas clean and organized
• Assist servers and other team members during busy periods
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
• Support additional restaurant tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Professional, positive, and guest-focused attitude
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to safely carry trays and plates
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Food handler certification preferred or required according to local regulations
